Africa Forward Summit 2026: KFBC at the Heart of the Paris–Nairobi Corridor

As momentum builds toward the Africa Forward Summit 2026 (11–12 May 2026, Nairobi), the Kenya France Business Club (KFBC) is positioning itself at the center of a pivotal moment in Africa–Europe relations.

This year’s Summit carries particular significance. For the first time, Africa Forward Summit will take place in an Anglophone country, Kenya, our country of origin. This shift is more than symbolic; it reflects a deliberate broadening of dialogue, partnerships, and economic engagement across linguistic and regional lines.

At the forefront of this engagement, and upon invitation from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, KFBC, through its President, has actively participated in high-level engagements in Paris, underscoring both continuity and momentum in shaping the Paris–Nairobi corridor.

In the lead-up to the Summit, the KFBC President has been actively engaged in key diplomatic and economic discussions. At the Élysée Palace, during an exchange with President Emmanuel Macron and members of the African diaspora, a clear message emerged: “African identity is part of France’s identity. It is not peripheral, it is not temporary, it is constitutive, and it carries the future.”This moment set the tone for what Africa Forward represents: a recognition that diaspora, identity, and economic collaboration are deeply interconnected.

The KFBC President also attended a high-level dinner hosted by Éléonore Caroit, Minister Delegate for Francophonie and International Partnerships, attached to the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, which brought together influential women from the diaspora. Discussions focused on strengthening diaspora voices, aligning policy with lived realities, and building authentic, impact-driven partnerships. She also accompanied the Minister for a cultural diplomacy event to discover  the Africa Fashion exhibition at the Musée du quai Branly, Jacques Chirac, which highlighted the role of culture as a powerful connector between Africa and Europe.

The Africa Forward Summit 2026 is a high-level platform designed to deepen cooperation between Africa and France across key strategic sectors, including investment and finance, innovation and entrepreneurship, sustainable development, education and talent mobility, and youth engagement.

For Kenya France Business Club, this moment is both strategic and operational. The Summit provides an opportunity to position KFBC as a bridge between French and Kenyan business ecosystems, facilitate market access for companies on both sides, champion diaspora-led initiatives as credible drivers of growth, and translate dialogue into concrete partnerships. The fact that the Summit is taking place in Nairobi strengthens KFBC’s role as a connector on the ground, uniquely placed to align stakeholders, identify opportunities, and support implementation.

These recent engagements confirm that the relationship between France, Africa and the diaspora is no longer aspirational – it is already active.

As the KFBC President prepares to attend and engage in the Summit in Nairobi, the focus is clear: turning high-level commitments into actionable projects, ensuring diaspora voices translate into influence and outcomes, and anchoring partnerships in mutual benefit and long-term value.

Africa Forward Summit 2026 is not just another summit. It marks a transition – from conversation to coordination, from intention to implementation.

For KFBC, it is an opportunity to consolidate its role as a trusted platform for economic diplomacy, connecting Paris and Nairobi in ways that are practical, inclusive, and forward-looking.

The bridge is already built. The priority now is how effectively it is used.
